چکیده

In the Persian dialects of North Khorasan province and even Razavi Khorasan, we sometimes see admixtures with the linguistic patterns of some immigrants, which caused their dialect atlas to become heterogeneous. Meanwhile, the southern regions of Razavi Khorasan province as well as South Khorasan, due to being located on the edge of the Lut desert, have authentic Persian dialects that have some features of Middle Persian and early Dari and it has structural similarities with border Persian dialects in Afghanistan. Due to the corpus-based nature of research in Iranian languages and dialects, their comparative study has not been very common in Iranian academic research. The present article is one of the results of a field research on the comparative study of border dialects of eastern Iran. In this research, various forms of verb construction in different tenses in several dialects from the southern regions of Razavi Khorasan province (Khafi, Taybadi and Jami) are presented along with related examples. For this purpose, the researcher has extracted and recorded the required dialect corpus through interviews and direct observation. The number of speakers of the target dialects was 5 native men and women with an average age of 60 years. The results of the present research indicate differences in the construction of the verb in some dialects in terms of the continuous aspect of the verb in the present and past tenses, as well as the insertion of the prefix "be" at the beginning of some past tense, similar to Middle Persian.
