The present study aims to investigate the case marking and case system in KhalajTurkic which is prevalent in in Khalaj-speaking settlements in Qom province based on a typological approach. The research corpus is extracted from the data available in the Iranian Linguistic Atlas database, which has been gathered through face-to-face interviews with speakers via the Atlas questionnaire. In the mentioned Atlas database, linguistic data of Khalaj language from 16 Khalaj-speaking villages in Qom province is available. The results of data analysis based on the theoretical framework of the research indicate that in Khalaj grammatical and semantic cases are marked synthetically. In this language, the nominative case is without any marking. The markers of causative, dative, locative, ablative, and genitive cases are in the form of case suffixes. However, in the comitative and instrumental cases, dependent and independent postpositons /-lɑ/ and /-læ/ are attached to the noun phrase. On the other hand, the research findings indicate that Khalaj is a nominative-accusative language.
