This a comparative study of teacher recruitment methods in Iran, Japan and Turkey. The strategy of selecting countries is "different social systems, different educational output." The data collection method was documentary through searching national and international databases to find primary and secondary sources. The Bereday model was used to analyze the data. In Japan, teacher recruitment is carried out solely through teacher training colleges and graduates are free to choose this job, but in Iran and Turkey, teacher recruitment is carried out through the employment of graduates of teacher training universities or those accepted in employment exams, and the selected individuals are committed to teaching in designated schools. This commitment in Iran is eight years and in Turkey it varies between three and seven years. The teacher qualification exam is held for teacher training graduates in Turkey and Japan, but the granting of teacher qualification certificates is specific to Japan. In the process of recruiting teachers, the Iran Ministry of Education, unlike Japan and Turkey, places great importance on the religious awareness of candidates, and the minimum height of teacher candidates in Iran is 160 cm for men and 155 cm for women. All three countries are similar in terms of physical health, completion of secondary education, and the candidate's success in the interview. It is proposed that an exam be held in Iran for teacher training graduates and teacher qualification certificates of grades 1 and 2 be issued. Also, the extension of the validity of these certificates should be subject to achieving the quorum in in-service exams.
