The main goal of this study was to identify and compare technology education curriculum of in the higher secondary education system of Australia, Finland, Malaysia, and USA. The strategy of "different social systems, different educational outputs" was used to select countries. The findings reveal that all selected countries emphasize the development of 21st century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, and problem solving in TEC. In Finland, the curriculum pays special attention to digital skills and media literacy, and teachers use modern educational tools such as programming and distance learning. Australia also emphasizes hands-on learning and effective content management. In the USA, curricula integrate technology and engineering education with STEM education, emphasizing development of technological literacy and problem-solving skills. Despite similarities in educational goals, differences in approaches and curriculum content are also observed between the selected countries. For example, the USA emphasizes environmental issues but Malaysia emphasizes more on ethical & social concepts in technology. This study highlighted that attention to the experiences of successful countries in the field of technology education can help improve curricula in developing countries such as Iran.
