چکیده

Introduction: Hepatitis A is typically a benign disease; however, in rare instances, it can progress to a fulminant course. One uncommon complication of this disease is acute kidney injury (AKI), which requires clinicians’ awareness for timely diagnosis and treatment. Conclusions: This clinical case highlights the significance of a differential diagnostic approach when AKI emerges as the leading clinical syndrome. It also indicates the need for increased awareness among relevant specialists regarding atypical presentations of acute hepatitis A.
