The fuzzy LJK model for efficiency measurement, ranking, and comparative analysis with fuzzy super SBM, fuzzy CCR, and fuzzy BCC models: A case study in the agricultural sector

Enhancing productivity is a core objective in economics and management, consistently drawing the interest of researchers and policymakers. This study concentrates on assessing and ranking the efficiency of farmers, employing three distinct models: the Fuzzy LJK model, the Fuzzy Super Slack-Based Measure (SBM), the Fuzzy BCC, and the Fuzzy CCR models. The efficiency of farmers in Gonabad County is evaluated using these models to improve efficiency and facilitate decision-making among officials and stakeholders in agriculture. The Fuzzy LJK model, presented for the first time in the contexts of Variable Returns to Scale (VRS) and Constant Returns to Scale (CRS), employs a fuzzy methodology to enhance the accuracy and reliability of efficiency assessments. The results of the Fuzzy LJK model are compared against those of the other models, Fuzzy Super SBM, Fuzzy BCC, and Fuzzy CCR. The study reveals that the top 10 rankings are consistent across all three models for a particular farmer. While the Fuzzy Super SBM model may yield infeasible or unstable results, the Fuzzy LJK model proposed in this study proves feasible and robust. The findings of this paper can assist decision-makers, policymakers, and other stakeholders in the agricultural sector who are focused on enhancing efficiency within Gonabad County.
