Background: The global COVID-19 outbreak compelled healthcare workers to address cases within their communities. These frontline professionals faced numerous challenges, with dermatitis being notably prevalent among those using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This study aimed to assess the changes in the severity and frequency of various symptoms associated with dermatitis in healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the goal of preventing workrelated contact dermatitis among frontline personnel.Methods: This study is descriptive, cross-sectional, and observational investigation conducted in tertiary hospitals in South India using an enumeration sampling method. The Nordic Occupational Skin Questionnaire was employed to gather information regarding workrelated skin dermatitis and exposure to environmental factors.Results: The statistical analysis conducted using the SPSS tool indicates that the study identified highly significant values for factors such as age, hospital, occupation, designation, department, previous skin issues, and prevention methods.Conclusion: The study strongly suggests that the factors influencing work-related dermatitis must be promptly addressed to prevent its occurrence. Furthermore, special attention should be given to female frontline workers in the prevention of work-related dermatitis.
