Jamal al-Din al-Aqsarai, a 14th century Iranian physician who lived and worked in Aqsaray (modern-day Turkey), is recognized for his scholarly commentary on Hal al-Mujez, a medical treatise by Ibn al-Nafis rooted in Avicenna’s Canon of Medicine.
