چکیده
In this article, following the basic idea that the social totality can be analyzed in the image as a seemingly trivial matter of partial totality, the situation of religion in contemporary Iran and in the framework of cinema has been examined. Special attention and the main approach in this article is to the critical views of the Frankfurt School on culture and cinema. For this purpose, one of the selected religious films in recent years has been analyzed based on the views of the Frankfurt School on culture and media as well as the use of a critical approach of "critical discourse analysis" to language. For this purpose, after an analytical review of Adorno and Benjamin's views on the culture and cinema industry, and considering that in Fairclough's critical discourse analysis approach, discourse analysis alone is not able to analyze broader social practice and requires social theory, Fairclough's approach has been used to analyze film.
