The checklist of ladybird beetles in the coleopteran family Coccinellidae of Nepal includes 219 species belonging to 12 tribes and 55 genera. They are distributed from a wide elevation range from 81 m to 4500 m asl. Coccinella luteopicta (Mulsant, 1866) and Coccinella septempunctata Linnaeus, 1758 were recorded at the highest elevation, 4500 m asl. However, the most widespread species was C. septempunctata, occurring across an elevation range from 81 m to 4500 m asl. Forty-five species are reported only from Nepal. Nepal is home to a rich diversity of ladybird beetle species, yet many parts remain insufficiently explored and the distribution locations of many species are still unknown, therefore more intensive study of this fauna is needed.
