significance and role of "contextual indicators" in the accurate and precise interpretation of the Quran is well-recognized among researchers in the field of Quranic exegesis. These contextual indicators are divided into two categories: "textual" and "situational." Undoubtedly, one of the criteria for evaluating the accuracy of Quranic interpretations is the extent to which these indicators are considered in the exegesis of the Quran. The "context" indicator is one such interpretive tool that has been utilized by only a few exegetes. This indicator is identified from the context of the discourse and the exigencies of the speech. Allameh Tabatabai extensively employed this indicator in his interpretive understanding of Quranic verses. The scope of the "context" indicator's role in the interpretation of Al-Mizan extends to various domains including literary-linguistic aspects, Quranic sciences, Hadith studies, and specialized exegesis discussions. The use of the "context" indicator in Al-Mizan's exegesis sometimes leads to a novel understanding of Quranic verses and at other times to the critique of prevailing interpretive views. This study, using a descriptive-analytical method, attempts to reveal the frequency and scope of the application of this indicator in understanding Quranic verses in the exegesis of Al-Mizan.
