Prostate cancer (PCa) is a significant health concern being the second most common cancer death globally. The tumor microenvironment (TME) often hinders antitumor immunity in PCa. While current treatments for PCa are often met with challenges, recent studies suggest that sodium chloride (NaCl) can enhance T cell function and potentially modulate other immune cells. These findings make NaCl a promising immunomodulatory agent for PCa therapy. Further research is needed to explore its clinical potential as a treatment for PCa.
