Unexpected Renal Aspergillosis After Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy in a Patient Without Predisposing Conditions

Introduction: Aspergillosis is a rare genitourinary infection, particularly in immunocompetent patients.Case presentation: We report the case of a 37-year-old male who developed renal Aspergillosis following a series of procedures to treat kidney stones, including multiple percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL). Despite the absence of typical risk factors, such as immunosuppression, the patient exhibited fungal material in the urine and required multiple interventions.Conclusion: This case underscores the importance of considering fungal infections in patients with persistent postoperative complications, even in the absence of conventional risk factors.
