A method for producing nanostructures of silver and fenugreek (Ag/fenugreek NSs) has been enhanced for cost-effectiveness and environmental sustainability by using non-toxic and renewable fenugreek as a capping and reducing agent. This makes it unnecessary to use chemical reducing agents in order to transform silver ions into silver nanoparticles. X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), field emission-scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), and Fourier transform infrared spectra (FT-IR), and ultraviolet visible spectra were used to analyze the resulting silver/Ag-fenugreek nanoparticles.
