The Interplay between Job Satisfaction and Entrepreneurial Innovation in Health Organizations: Insights from Iran's Ministry of Health

Background and Objectives: One of the most important components for the development of entrepreneurship is job satisfaction. Therefore, the present study aims to assess the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational entrepreneurship orientation among employees of the Iran’s Ministry of Health and Medical Education.   Methods: This study was conducted in 2020. The sample size was 205 employees of the Research Vice-Chancellor of the Iran’s Ministry of Health and Medical Education. The questionnaires of the Organizational Entrepreneurship Tendency and the Job Satisfaction Measurement Questionnaire (JDI) were used. Data was analyzed using Excel 2019 and SPSS 26.   Results: The results of the study showed that the relationship between job satisfaction as a dependent variable and all independent variables was positive and significant, innovation variable (0.93, P=0.000), with risk-taking variable (1.23, P=0.000), with being a pioneer variable (1.19, P=0.000) and with Organizational Entrepreneurship variable (0.317, P=0.000) was estimated. The significance level is set to 5%.   Conclusion: Promoting job satisfaction is key for innovation in health organizations. Policies supporting work-life balance and growth are vital. Organizations should foster creativity, recognize innovation, and ensure user-friendly technology.
