The Formulas of Meaning-Formation for Marital Copulation in Quranic Arabic and ‎the Analysis on Their Usages

چکیده

The most authentic linguistic data ‎regarding the Arabic of the period of ‎revelation is accessible throughout the ‎Holy Quran. Therefore in the first phase of ‎this essay, all the words signifying the ‎meaning of Marital Copulation in Holy ‎Quran were identified and then their ‎formulas were discussed. According to ‎Quranic data, those six formulas were ‎formed upon some kinds of relationships ‎like nearness, contact and inclusion and ‎upon uncleanness, obscene word or deed ‎and consideration of woman as place ‎metaphorically. In the second phase of this ‎essay, the usage of each word belonging to ‎semantic field of Marital Copulation was ‎discussed upon paying attentions to taboo ‎words and their impolite meaning. In all ‎cases, there is euphemism in ‎Quranicusages except few legal verses ‎legislating rules about Marital Copulation ‎in detail and those verses concerning pre-‎Quranic period‎.
