The Formulas of Meaning-Formation for Marital Copulation in Quranic Arabic and the Analysis on Their Usages

چکیده
The most authentic linguistic data regarding the Arabic of the period of revelation is accessible throughout the Holy Quran. Therefore in the first phase of this essay, all the words signifying the meaning of Marital Copulation in Holy Quran were identified and then their formulas were discussed. According to Quranic data, those six formulas were formed upon some kinds of relationships like nearness, contact and inclusion and upon uncleanness, obscene word or deed and consideration of woman as place metaphorically. In the second phase of this essay, the usage of each word belonging to semantic field of Marital Copulation was discussed upon paying attentions to taboo words and their impolite meaning. In all cases, there is euphemism in Quranicusages except few legal verses legislating rules about Marital Copulation in detail and those verses concerning pre-Quranic period.
