A Systematic Review of Drug Therapy in Head and Neck Cancer Patients Based on Nursing and Pharmaceutical Care

This study systematically reviews drug therapy in patients with head and neck cancer based on nursing and drug care. The particles, which carry two different types of drugs, designed to easily cross the blood-brain barrier (a membrane barrier that separates the bloodstream from the brain and the extracellular fluid in the central nervous system) and bind directly to tumor cells. To obtain scientific evidence related to breast cancer, immune system, cancer cell, infertility, and mammography from 40 articles published in interior and foreign databases such as Scientific Information Database (SID), Magiran, Web of Science, Psyc INFO, PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar search engine used. All articles, regardless of the time, searched in the databases until September 2024. PRISMA 2020 checklist used in order to screen articles, extract data and brief related findings. The results obtained from the review of articles in this field show that the combination of drugs in nano systems helps to increase the efficacy and reduce toxicity, and pharmaceutical nanotechnology, which is the further application, development of nanotechnology to solve drug delivery problems, can provide a better solution, consequently change the method of manufacturing and the way of drug administration. Nano-drugs based on nanoparticles, polymeric micelles, liposomes, dendrimers and Nano emulsions have been studied in conjunction with cancer therapies such as photodynamic therapy, phototherapy with red blood cells, radiotherapy, and gene therapy. A major advance in nanotechnology used in cancer treatment has been observed mainly for nanoparticles and liposomes. According to the findings, nanoparticles and liposomes are the most common nano-carriers used for drug encapsulation, which accumulate passively in the tumor, thereby reducing the side effects of the free drug and can be effective in improving cancer treatment. There are different methods for treating cancer, each with significant limitations and side effects.
