چکیده

Regenerative rehabilitation is an emerging field that combines regenerative medicine with physical therapy, offering significant potential to transform the management of musculoskeletal disorders and injuries. Biochemical mediators, such as growth factors, cytokines, and extracellular matrix proteins, play a critical role in muscle regeneration by regulating cellular activities involved in tissue repair and healing. This review examines the intersection of regenerative medicine and physical therapy, emphasizing how the integration of biochemical mediators can enhance tissue repair and functional recovery in musculoskeletal rehabilitation. A systematic search was performed utilizing multiple databases, including Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, and Google Scholar, to identify pertinent literature published until 2023. Search terms such as "Regenerative medicine," "Physical therapy," "Tissue repair," and "Rehabilitation" were employed to obtain relevant studies. The combination of regenerative medicine and physical therapy presents several benefits, in part due to the influence of biochemical mediators. These include growth factors like transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), which enhance tissue repair and regeneration. Physical therapy complements these processes by promoting functional restoration through mechanical stimulation. This integrated approach can accelerate recovery, improve tissue function, and enhance overall patient outcomes. To sum up, the incorporation of regenerative medicine into physical therapy signifies a significant advancement in the field of patient rehabilitation. Integrating regenerative techniques with physical therapy interventions enables healthcare professionals to enhance tissue regeneration, restore functionality, and improve patient outcomes. Further research is required to establish standardized treatment protocols, examine ethical considerations, and investigate the comprehensive potential of this developing field.
