The mining industry is one of the most hazardous sectors of the economy. Workers in this field are subjected to numerous harmful and dangerous factors in their occupational environment. The incidence of injuries is also considered to be unacceptably high. The study involved a detailed analysis of scientific literature and statistical data on workplace injuries and the conditions under which they occur. To evaluate the causes of hazardous events, we used methods such as statistical data processing, risk assessment at enterprises, and psychological survey techniques. The study's findings indicate that effective risk management and informed decision-making in occupational safety require a comprehensive assessment of operational conditions and an understanding of individual risk tolerance among employees. To mitigate the risk of workplace injuries, it is essential to implement measures aimed at preventing hazardous behaviours among employees. This entails monitoring deviations in their psychophysiological parameters. Moreover, it is critical to assess the level of exposure to hazardous environmental factors and evaluate the effectiveness of protective equipment.
