A Model for Analyzing Impact of COVID-19 Prevalence on Employment in Medium and Large Industrial Units in Developing Countries

This research has been conducted with the aim of analyzing the impact of Covid-19 disease on employment of medium and large industrial units in Iran. This research was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive of data collection method. The research data have been collected using a questionnaire designed based on Research Institute of Statistics' questionnaire as a reference for statistical research in the country, along with interviews and observations. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS and Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS) software. Hypotheses have been tested using the confirmatory factor analysis of structural equations. The results show that Covid-19 has had a significant negative impact on employment and its components, including working time, workforce, quality of product produced, work environment, and internal and external resources in medium and large industrial units in Iran, leading to a decrease in employment in these units.
