Synthesis of benzothiazoles in the presence of a new natural based nanocatalyst containing Zr(IV)

چکیده

Benzothiazoles are an important part of biologically active heterocyclic compounds that have been synthesized in many ways. In this research, Gum Arabic /Zr(IV) was synthesized and characterized. used as a heterogeneous and recyclable Lewis acid catalyst for the one-pot synthesis of of benzothiazole derivatives from the condensation reaction of aromatic aldehydes and 2-aminothiophenol using Zr+4 carrier catalyst and gum arabic at 90 ºC and solvent-free conditions is introduced. The most important advantages of the reaction are solvent-free conditions, high efficiency, cheapness, and the ability to recycle the catalyst, using a green and environmentally friendly catalyst.
