Nowadays, the tourism industry is not only a profitable economic activity but also a dynamic social phenomenon in around the World. It is predicted the tourism industry well become the largest section in devote of international trade for the future. However without consideration to protect the environment, tourism industry may harm the community in environmental and social aspects. Hence the tourism development will not be successful without regard to the term sustainable development. This study examines the impact of tourism in the Sari Township. Consistent with the objective, the study is an applied research and about to methodology it is regarded as a descriptive-analytical one. The statistical community of this research includes experts and specialists of tourism’s organizations and institutions of Sari with the overall number of 45 participants. The study is conducted based on library and field data collection by the questionnaire. simple linear regression analysis, ANOVA, is used to analyze the data. The results show that tourism development has had undesirable effects on environment of as well as social and cultural aspects of Sari Township. However this region economically has benefited from the development of tourism.
