In this study, meso-tetraphenylporphyrinatomanganese(III) chloride (MnPor) was anchored onto imidazole-modified graphene oxide nanosheets. The resulting catalyst (MnPor-GO-COIm) was characterized using FT-IR, DR UV–Vis, XRD, FESEM, EDX, TGA-DTG, texture analysis (BET), and atomic absorption spectroscopy. This new immobilized catalyst demonstrated efficient epoxidation of various alkenes with sodium periodate under mild conditions. In the presence of MnPor-GO-COIm, olefins were efficiently epoxidized with 68–100% selectivity. A high turnover frequency (TOF) of 46.7 was observed for cis-cyclooctene oxidation. Furthermore, the catalyst exhibited excellent reusability, maintaining significant catalytic activity over several cycles.
