چکیده

Fe3O4 magnetite nanoparticles were prepared by coprecipitation of ferrous (Fe2+) and ferric (Fe3+) aqueous solution by a base. The prepared nanoparticles were used as a core for SO42-/FSM-16 shell to provide a core-shell mesoporous solid acid catalyst (SO42-/Fe3O4@FSM-16) that is characterized by TEM, FESEM, XRD, VSM, and FT-IR techniques. The prepared nano-magnetic mesoporous catalyst was used in the one-pot four-component reaction of aldehyde, dimedone, ethyl cyanoacetate, and ammonium acetate in EtOH under reflux conditions for the synthesis of polyhydroquinolines via the Hantzsch condensation. This protocol suggests benefits in terms of higher yields and short reaction time, as well as the reusability of the catalyst. In addition, the catalyst could be recovered easily by an external magnet and reused many times without a significant decrease in activity.
