Biocompatibility of Poly-cyclotriphosphazene-co-resveratrol and Investigation of Its Efficacy on Wound Healing in Rats

چکیده

In this research, poly-cyclotriphosphazene-co-resveratrol was prepared, and then it was characterized by FT-IR, FESEM-EDS, and XRD analyses. Then, the in vitro release of resveratrol from the produced sample was investigated by UV-Vis spectroscopy in different buffers (pH=5, 7.4, and 9.1), which showed no release up to 96 hours. In addition, the biocompatibility investigation showed only 1.85% blood hemolysis and 35% blood coagulation rate with no cytotoxicity on the 3T3 mouse fibroblast cell line. Subsequently, in vivo topical delivery of resveratrol from the co-polymer was investigated on healing an induced 1.5×1.5 cm2 wound in rats, which resulted in more collagen production.
