CdS Nanoparticles and Schiff Base-modified CPE for Simultaneous Determination of Dopamine, Ascorbic Acid, and Uric Acid

چکیده

A novel carbon paste electrode (CPE) modified with CdS nanoparticles, CdSNPs, and a thio Schiff base, SB, (SBCdS-CPE), was designed and used to investigate the electrooxidation of dopamine (DA), ascorbic acid (AA), uric acid (UA) and their mixtures by electrochemical methods. The selective measurement of DA in the presence of UA and AA was carried out according to the electrocatalytic property of SBCdS-CPE using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) methods. The simultaneous increase of CdS and Schiff base to carbon paste caused a change in the potential of DA, AA, and UA peaks so that the peak distance for AA-DA is about 183 mV and for DA-UA is about 193 mV. From the analysis of CV results, it is evident that CdS is more effective in increasing current, and SB is more critical in shifting the peak potential of analytes. The linear range for DA, AA, and UA is 0.1–100 µM, 0.5–100 µM, and 5.0–120 µM, respectively, and the equivalent detection limits are 0.0076 μM, 0.08 µM and 0.96 µM. The excellent recovery of analytes in drug samples, urine, and blood serum of healthy humans indicates the outstanding efficiency of SBCdS-CPE.
