چکیده

Nano-derivatives have gained wide attention, especially nano-silver compounds, due to their wide uses in the medical fields. In this study Sider leaves were extracted with 99% absolute ethanol for 24 hours. Extracts were reacted with silver nanoparticles in the presence of deionized water by a gel method. As the nano-black product, the resulting compound was characterized, and diagnosed by physical and spectroscopic methods, including infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, Electron microscopy, and Atomic force microscopy. The resulted compound, was tested for its biological activity against gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus, E. coli, and Pseudomonasaeruginosa) bacteria, compared with Neomycin, Tetracycline, and antibiotics. The results revealed significant antibacterial effect compared with commercial antibiotics.
