چکیده

New Schiff base ligand (SFB) was synthesis from folic acid, boric acid, and one of amino acids (4-nitrobenzaldehyde) in 1:1 mol ratio. The metal complexes synthesized by the reaction of (FeCl3·6H2O, CuCl2·2H2O, and AgNO3) complexes were prepared by the reaction the metals with (SFB) ligand (L) at 1:2 (M: L) mol ratio. The compounds were characterized by (UV-Vis), FTIR, thermal analyses (TGA), flame atomic absorption (AAS), melting point (m.p) measurement, and CHN for all compounds. Determination of chloride, flame atomic absorption (AAS), and magnetic susceptibility measurement. Tetrahedral is the suggested geometries of silver complexes while octahedral is for copper and Iron complexes. The iron complex was paramagnetic while the copper and silver complexes were diamagnetic. The antimicrobials estimated against E. coli (Gram-negative), Staphylococcus aureus (Gram-positive), and fungi (Candida). In addition, the anticancer against HepG2 for copper complex and medical application of iron complex estimated.
