چکیده

Organometallic nanoparticles (ONPs) are a widespread family of nanomaterials with enormous biomedical, catalytic, and electronic potential. These nanoparticles, characterized by metal-carbon bonds, exhibit various physicochemical properties, including tuneable shape and surface functionalization, and also enhanced optical, electrical, and magnetic behaviours. In this review, an in-depth discussion of ONP preparation methodologies, including chemical, physical, and environmentally friendly processes, and a comparative evaluation of their strengths and weaknesses are discussed. The physicochemical and architectural properties of ONPs, including shape, surface chemistry, stability, and functionalization, have been discussed in detail with a strong emphasis on them. The biomedical potential of ONPs, including drug delivery, bio-imaging, antimicrobial therapy, and bio-sensing, has been critically discussed in detail. Future trends, including improvements in preparation, approval, and commercialization, are also discussed in this review. As nanotechnology continues to grow, with the growing demand for nanotechnology-related innovation, ONPs have enormous potential to revolutionize a range of scientific and technological industries.
