Investigating Neighborhood Sustainable Development indicators(Case Study district 13 of Esfahan city)

Abstract: Introduction and application of constant development indices is a need which has less attended in our country meaning that with the rapid tend of urbanization ,a vast extent of geographical spaces of Iran have not been accompanied by fundamental equilibrium in most of the cities especially very big ones. Verification of status que has forced the planners and urban managers to consider planning in micro scales in the pattern of urban units and cells namely neighborhoods because it is in this case that the development indices of urban neighborhoods are possibly enhanced by suitable planning and using local sources. This approach is trying to identify the capacities and properties of the neighborhoods and urban regions. Naturally there is a need for people’s serious participation in plantings based on neighborhood identity, according to which stable neighborhoods can assure the stability of the cities. The aim of present study is to investigate constant development indices of neighborhoods at district 13 of Esfahan city and generally identify the differences and inequalities between neighborhoods and rank them in terms of their situation of neighborhood constant development indices and show the levels of development of neighborhoods by considering the amount of facilities and accesses and benefiting from them. The dominant approach on this study regarding objective and nature has been applicatory and descriptive –analytical respectively that constant development indices of neighborhoods have been confirmed by using Topsis assessment model. The results of this study indicate that agricultural sectors are in higher level than other neighborhoods of district 13 in terms of constant development and Bagh Ziar neighborhood is of the least constant development.
