A new series of Quinoline and Benzothiazole containing Schiff’s Bases 5a-5i was synthesized. The obtained derivatives were characterized by IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, and Mass. All the derivatives 5a-5i were tested for in vitro anticancer activity against two different cell lines MCF7 and A549. The 5c, 5f, and 5i derivatives displayed promising anticancer activity with IC50 values 12.73, 13.78, and 10.65 μM against MCF7 cell lines. Similarly, countable anticancer activity was obtained against A549 cell lines with IC50 values of 13.76, 13.44, and 10.89 μM, respectively, compared with standard control doxorubicin. Accordingly, this is the first-ever attempt for the synthesis and anticancer activity evaluation of quinoline and benzothiazole containing Schiff’ Bases.
