Heavy metal pollution poses a significant environmental and public health concern, toxic substances like lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), and cadmium (Cd) can enter the ecosystem through various industrial, mining, and waste management activities. These pollutants disrupt fragile ecosystems and affect the growth and survival of flora and fauna, while also bioaccumulating in the food chain and threatening overall biodiversity. The health implications of heavy metal exposure are equally alarming, as chronic exposure can lead to neurological disorders, organ damage, and cancer, especially in vulnerable populations like children. The environmental impact and human health risks associated with heavy metals are influenced by a complex interplay of factors. These include the physical properties of the metals (atomic number, weight, density, melting point), chemical speciation, environmental conditions, biological processes, and exposure pathways. This complexity necessitates a multifaceted approach to address the challenge which involves stricter regulations, advanced treatment technologies, and the promotion of sustainable practices in industries. To effectively safeguard the health of both the environment and human populations, a holistic, science-based strategy is required. This strategy should consider the diverse sources of exposure and the specific vulnerabilities of affected communities, ensuring that efforts are tailored to mitigate the risks posed by heavy metal pollution. A combination of laboratory experiments and cognitive tasks was employed, utilizing Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and chemical characterization techniques. Through a comprehensive review of existing literature and empirical studies, this research highlights the significant correlations between chemical exposure and psychological outcomes. It shows the role of psychological resilience and coping mechanisms in mediating health effects, suggesting that individuals with robust mental health may mitigate some adverse consequences of chemical exposure. By integrating perspectives from environmental science, psychology, and public health, this research underscores the necessity for interdisciplinary approaches to address the multifaceted challenges posed by chemical materials on health. The results aim to inform stakeholders, including policymakers, healthcare professionals, and the general public, about the importance of understanding these interactions to promote holistic health and well-being. The results show a clear connection between better memory accuracy and enhanced patient outcomes, including increased medication compliance and enhanced symptom management. Statistical analysis included repeated-measures ANOVA, paired t-tests, Bayesian t-tests, and decomposition of memory errors using the swap model. Pearson correlation coefficients and descriptive statistics were employed to analyze cognitive performance and nanodrug interactions.
