چکیده

The purpose of the present study is to analyze and explain the Physical Education department personnel’s attitudes toward job. This study is a field study which uses correlational survey as its instrument. The statistic sample includes three groups of personnel, managers and faculty members from all Physical Education Faculties of the country. The individuals have been chosen through stratified random sampling. In order to gather data, four standard questionnaires with high validity and reliability have been used entitled Demographic Information Questionnaire, Job Satisfaction Questionnaire, Organizational Commitment Questionnaire and Job Involvement Questionnaire. These questionnaires were sent to 231 subjects randomly, while 201 of them were returned. For analyzing the data, descriptive statistic (Mean, Standard Deviation, …) and inferential statistic (Spearman and Pearson Correlation Coefficients,…) were used; for investigating the normality of the data, Kolmograph-Smirnof test was used; for analyzing the data variance, ANOVA was applied; and for estimating the reliability of the data, Chorobach alpha coefficient was applied. The research findings obtained from the investigated sample indicate an average level of job attitude. The results show that among the three groups participating in this study, the management group had a higher average in Job Satisfaction while the faculty member group had a higher average in Organizational Commitment and Job Involvement. The results of the present study show that there is a meaningful significance (P<0.01) between the main variables. This study implies that the planners must not solely consider the behavior toward the personnel; on the contrary, they must academically investigate the affective job attitudes to improve the organizational behavior.
