Background and Aim: The emergence of human diseases is directly related to climatic conditions, type of nutrition and plant-animal cover of each region. From the past to the present, traditional medicine has sought the achievements of the geographical climate of any region to treat common diseases. The purpose of this study is to review the history of traditional treatment methods based on the achievements of the geographical climate by local residents in Abkenar village of Gilan province. Materials and Methods: This research in 2021 through library studies, local manuscripts and documents, direct observation of some methods, face-to-face and telephone interviews with: (1) local therapists and (2) elderly people (both men and women) has been done. The information and findings are discussed in a descriptive-analytical format. Findings: It seems that the "geographical climate of Abkenar village" has played a very important role in the emergence of traditional treatment methods from the distant past to the present. Being located next to the Caspian Sea and Bandar Anzali wetland, having the blessing of the element "rice", unique vegetation of the region and the existence of some special species of birds has significantly increased the quality of traditional medicine in Abkenar village. Ethical Considerations: Honesty and trustworthiness have been observed in reporting and publishing materials. Conclusion: In the past, due to lack of progress in medical science and ignorance of the origin of diseases, the residents of Abkenar village had no choice but to "go to nature" to find a way to cure diseases. Hence, valuable experiences in the field of traditional treatment have been inherited from the past to the residents of Abkenar village. In addition to chemical drugs, the people of this village use traditional methods of treatment based on their geographical climate to cure common diseases in the region.   Cite this article as: Salimpour Abkenar S, Salimpour Abkenar M.
