The significance of nodal metastasis as a prognostic factor in colorectal cancer is universally recognised and accepted. This articlediscusses the various factors that govern lymph node harvest and how to improve that. We will discuss the outcome of lymph nodeharvest as a possible form of auditing the surgical technique and the pathologist dedication.
