This paper presents a two-level hierarchical planning approach for a consortium of multiple microgrids (MMGs) with the aim of maximizing profits while minimizing losses and greenhouse gas emissions. First, a suitable planning framework is introduced, based on which each microgrid at the first level schedules its available resources independently. At the second level, the distribution system operator seeks to optimize profits, minimize losses, reduce pollutant emissions, and ensure full load supply by facilitating energy exchanges between microgrids. Due to the variable nature of renewable energy sources such as wind and solar, there is uncertainty at both planning levels. In order to take this uncertainty into account, a feasibility optimization method is used, considering different degrees of necessity and feasibility. Finally, the overall optimization problem is formulated as a mixed nonlinear programming model with integer variables that simultaneously determines the optimal values of production and consumption, taking into account technical constraints and various operating conditions.
